yeah , anyway . from what i observed ..

Thing about bassists , when they get together and jam ..

its not about ..who’s faster , who’s better ..its about the groove , music , being together , learning and inspiring..and of course friendship lah..

thats why , we guitarist , got alot to learn from this bassist-lah ..one day we should have our own jamtank shred fest ..

Some thoughts :

Before this event , there was a huge fight in Jamtank . Something to do with a previous jamtank event ..

so , i am in no position to judge anybody ..but ..(who cares , its my blog )

anyway , i think that

one of the mistakes the previous event made was ..

they killed the “hype” a long long time ago

yeah its true , they started advertising like what? 6 months ago ? …whenever something brand new comes in the market …(event’s are always brand new) ..there is a “hype” when you start advertising it ..

and every event manager knows this ..

thats why , usually people start inviting people , 1 week before the event or so ..

Jamtank Bassist gathering , was planned like 3 days before it happened …the “hype” is strong

we can talk about how the bassist gathering organizer was wayy better , the location is better , more “jamtank celebrities” came and they pulled their friends etc …

but i think , what changes the whole thing , was this event had LOAD of HYPE AND ANTICIPATION

that is the big difference between Jamtank Bassist Gathering and Jamfest

to sum it up

People want something to do , Tomorrow , or Day after Tomorrow …not 6 months later ..i think the jamfest was advertised 6 months before , after 6 months of heavy advertising , people just get sick of it ..hype also hilang …get what i mean ?

thats why , 6 months ago , when the jamtank gig was “announced”..everybody was super excited ..and after 1 month it slowly dies lah..

anyway , if you were involve in organizing jamfest , you might not enjoy reading this ..it is just my thoughts lah..hopefully the next jamfest can do better
