When your hero fails you
It is a sad day for me…(emo post ahead , i jarang emo one)
Few years ago ..roughly 2003-2004 ..i was into the whole “seduction community” thing..
back then , not many guys knew about the community , i was one of the fortunate one who got my game earlier than most of the guys ..
now , the pickup artist shit is everywhere ..and it is getting lame lah ..
back then , my hero was Mr David Deangelo , Mystery , Neil and so on ..
end of 2004 , i discovered my new super hero
Stephane Hemon
He taught me , how are “pickup artist” fear based , how i should love myself , unconditional love , ego and stuff..
He was my hero , my inspiration ..i admired the way he and Ghita (his girlfriend back then) lived their life ..i admire him..i was one of his early HARDCORE FANS

and the thing about Stephane is …he is not some random hero on a website like everyone else..he actually ANSWERS my emails ..he actually COMMUNICATES with me …we had a few emails back and forth ..we talked about Heavy metal and stuff and he gave me advice for FREE.. (he’s a drummer)
Its like , you are a fan of Steve Vai ..but Steve Vai couldn’t give a rats ass about you ..all he wants is you buying his JEMINI or something..he don’t talk to you ..
my hero talks to me ..personally .
I used many of his teaching styles and concept , to apply in teaching guitar ( back then , i had a Guitar teaching Job at Subang )
My last lesson from Stephane was ..” Be your own guru” ..which means , to be self taught ..sounds familiar ? yeah , i always emphasize it when i teach guitar …the independent guitarist without youtube , guitar tabs or any other bullshit ..all you need is inspiration..
the most powerful thing about learning . Is the ability to motivate , and inspire yourself , without the help of others..
that is when you really IMPROVE in your guitar playing..
then Stephane was into the whole dating several bisexual girlfriend thing , i decided it wasn’t my thing..
I stopped following him ..i’ve decided that i wanted to “be my own guru” ..and learn the true meaning of life myself ..so i stopped visiting his website , stopped the newsletter subscription ..and do things my own way..
but still …Stephane has made a big difference in my life ..i will always remember him as my personal hero ..
(i know many guys out there are inspired by Warren Buffet , Lim Goh Tong , Ghandi , Lim Kit Siang and some other famous guys la …but i got a thing for people who aren’t too famous being my hero)
…until today..
i came into Music Master ..there were classes going on ..and i thought to myself ..hey..
its 2009 , it has been 4-5 years since i follow up on Stephane and his website
so i did some google found out he has a new site
first thing i saw was …WTF ..
Ok , i’ve heard about his new chick , Greta…but.. …where is GHITA ? WHERE ? ..broke up ? i did my research and i found out
all the rumors about him ..and Ghita Left him ..
imagine this ..
he has been my hero ..for all these years ..i had been living with his concepts , teachings ..he taught about unconditional love , relationships , self esteem …
and now , his chick left him..
then i suddenly realized ..Stephane wasn’t my hero in the first place..
it was , Stephane and Ghita , both of them were my hero ..it was the dynamics in their relationship that inspired me ..
now without Ghita , it is just Stephane ….the magic isn’t there anymore..i couldn’t care less about his new chick , how many other chicks he has ..
my hero has failed me ..
..and the thing is ..
i can’t stop thinking about ..how this works in guitar playing ..
As you grow older , you get wiser …your awareness increase..
you stopped looking up to your old heros , people whom you looked up to before ..
For example , when you are a kid ,14-15 years old ..how many of us looked up to 18-19 years old Gangsters that fought with parang …we were like their little ass kissers ..they were worshiped by us ..
then when we became 17-19 ..we realized our old gangster heroes are nothing but a bunch of monkeys who failed in their studies and their life ..we found out that this gangsters are now working in some VCD seller outlet or Tai Chao Chefs …they lose our respect ..they failed us ..

Francesco Fareri failed me

so far , only my DAD and God never fails me ..both of them just get more and more awesome each day..
and to my students ..
one day …you are going to stop learning for me ..
one day…i will have nothing to teach you anymore , all dried up ..
one day…you will be your own guru , when you are ready..
one day…you will pawn me..you will be much better than me ..
..i will fail you
and when that time comes , you are invited to pawn me .
It will be the most beautiful experience ever 
to see your student rise up ..
like a dad seeing his son becoming more successful than he is ..beautiful..

also known as “pickup artist” lah ..if that term is easier for you ..this group normally attracts losers who want to learn how to get laid / get a gf..

Well my friend. The new shit he has now is the bomb! I understand you grief to the point I cant understand it. But I think you are not getting into the new stuff he teaches. The most down to earth spiritual truths and facts, through tangible language and contexts.
The guy has evolved alot since that time. It is much “better” now.

It sounds like another typical wanna-be guru. There are a lot of guys like him running around, pretending to hold the key to enlightenment, but they are only flawed humans just like everyone else.
If you want something more useful, then I suggest reading Jiddu Krishnamurti’s book Freedom From The Known (you can find it on the web free, just use google) and read it very carefully. He explains how it’s easy for the human mind to become trapped in a system of belief, which ultimately can only lead to inner conflict. His solution is very simple, and doens’t have any spiritual mumbo-jumbo attached to it.

Honestly, from the get-go Hemone was a sham. He was just an average guy who learned he could manipulate people. That’s nothing new. He exaggerated many things and let people do the hard work for him. He’s a conartist. The only thing he needed was magic Koolaid. He learned just enough wanna-be New Age shit to get by, exploited something people actually believe in, and shaved his head. Big woop. And now that he’s been found out, he tries to justify his loss by saying his aunt was a quack. Sorry, but all the people who followed him were probably the cream of the Stupidity crop.

Stephane was for the most part an iconoclast in the seduction community. Half his time he spent teaching how to overcome the programming from inside the community and the rest he spent teaching a spirtual path, which created even more confusion about who or what he stood for. He became more and more an outsider and now I believe his teachings are 80% spiritualy oriented and the rest is about dating. Unlike most he focussed on longer term relationships, even though most of his own examples were about bisexual gilfriends. Anyway after buying his products, being on his forums and some personal communication, I feel he was one of the few sincere teachers in the community. He contributed to expanding the potential of this underground movement into something beyond what they founders like Ross Jeffries or Mystery intended.
