Are Hot Chicks overrated ? Why do we have to be controlled by society ?
The best part of having a girlfriend is , you can watch all the anime , talk about all the x-men and wolverine , watch the curious case of benjamin button and cry . hold another guy’s hand for fun . dress up in pink and lime green. and people still won’t say shit about you . (provided your girlfriend is hot)
You know you’re a shredder when …

Is change .
gapnap crazy ? why is change a mistake ?
No guitarist is perfect.
There are things that we can do well , and there are things that we suck at..
just because we suck at a small tiny little thing , we start finding something new , a new hope , like learning a new scale , getting a new teacher , changing a new band etc ..
and what happens ?
we get the 360 degree change ..
we CHANGE!
NO NO NO. WRONG . you don’t change . you do not want to change . What you want is to IMPROVE .
Change means , throw away what was good and throw away what was bad to adapt to the new style.
IMPROVE means , throw away what was bad , but , MAINTAIN WHAT WAS GOOD and LEARN MORE .
Let me give you an example
Case #1.
Student A ” Last time i was using the pentatonic box , whenever i solo , the first 30 seconds was okay , but after that i started to run out of ideas ..i suck man …i am so sick of the pentatonic box..Today i found this new scale called gapnap scale so awesome , and you know what ? pentatonic box are for noobs , i do not play noob shit anymore.”
did he improve ? no . he changed .
His first 30 seconds was good , He should not throw that away !
He should , use the same pentatonic box for his first awesome 30 seconds , and carry on with whatever new he was learning..
**careful , especially those guys who used to play ROCK and turn into shred , or those who used to play rock and turn into metal , or those who used to play metal and turn into jazz . Do not throw those killer old guitar licks away .
You will not enjoy saying ..” i could do this 2 years ago , now i can’t “
Always keep what is good , and gain more !

Yeap , i just shared one of my biggest mistake in my guitar journey. So , throw away what is bad , keep what is good .

Ah…for me the question is, why do we let ourselves be controlled by society?
A little known secret abt me – I did the violin when I was a little kid. Hated that thing so I ditched it and changed it to a piano coz mom thought it would keep me out of trouble. And for the next 10 years I switched indecisively between the piano and the concert flute. And then I grew out of clasical, ditched the whole thing and guess what I changed to… the drums, heh heh.
Maybe it was an improvement. Yeah, actually it was (for me). You can improve not just on the same instrument but by going across to different instruments until you hit your sweet spot.
