The lick that is the easiest and the most comfortable for you .

Expand it like crazy . It all started with 4 to 5 signature lick notes . Play it in Octaves .Then , try sweeping it out . Try different positions on the fingerboard . Oh yes , try string skipping it too . And feel free to add a note or two .

a) Knowing all the basic chords (up to 11th or 13th) , e.g chord formation , knowing the formula.
