This is why i DO NOT believe in consignments

Check this out . SUPER HOT TOPIC .

The story goes something like ..

A wants to sell X guitar at Y’s price

B posted X guitar at 2Y’s price, without paying A , and B managed to sell it .

A found out . Whole thing mess up.

Look , i am not saying who is wrong or who is right . But ,

I always put my money in , before i sell ‘em.

I rather my gears get stuck (which isn’t so bad , because i can play them)

than causing problems like this .

remember , if there is NO formal written agreement or business relationship ( like selling used guitars ) , always sell what belongs to you . Follow this rule and you will not get screwed . If you have no capital , then my advice is to live within your means and don’t play around with the market .

Last year , a very well known guitar shop that sells high end gears got closed down . Why ? because they cannot sell . Why they cannot sell ? Because they started the business by CONSIGNMENTS basics.By the time they realized their mistake , it was too late. Everybody wants to buy from the source , not the middleman . duh .

Is it worth it ? You think low risk high return eh ? the truth is , your risk is MUCH higher . Risk is not measured by MONEY ALONE .

  1. If every business runs by COD…there will be a lot more robberies :|

  2. wow , that is A LOT of damage to the seller ..

  3. haha.. mamak ni blum ambik dah nak jual. ni x consignment!
so the thing is, make sure sell it without A knowing :p

  4. i don’t understand shit the whole thing is in bahasa pasar

  5. Good move Clement, I still remember about you telling me about this story before during our last deal and it is sad to hear that the guitar shop has closed down ( I sent my guitar there to repair before).

I Hope that your firm can grow bigger and become a monopolist of guitar industry one day.

Anyway, hows business goin bro? :)

    Regards.
