What if the competition isn’t fair ..

I’ve added a new category called “Philosophy” for my non-guitarist readers .Actually it should be trying-to-write-cock-Philosophy only lah . Not so power.

Last week , Some said that my blog is motivational . Ha ! , Lets see if this post motivates you . Remember , gapnap is random . My blog’s purpose is to exist only .

COMPETITION

Like it or not , we humans face competition in our daily lives .(that is how we separate the winners and the losers)

Any areas , you name it , competing for that dream job , getting a promotion , competing for that project , competing in exams , competing who is prettier or who has the bigger muscles , competing who’s the better guitarist , heck we even compete on the road . ( I like to play , who passes the traffic light )

So why do we compete ?

There is no why . It is a natural process cause we humans are born like that . Compete and Compare . Compete and Compare . Compete and Compare .

On the positive side , we compete to IMPROVE . right ? with competition , we improve . No competition , stuck here and stay the same forever . make sense ?

Moving on…

In every competition , there are AUTHORITIES .

The authorities make sure that :

1) The game is fair (or at least make sure the game appears to be fair)

2) Decides the winner and loser . Every competition has a first place , second place , third place , no place and a last place .

Speaking of first place , i love the quote “the second place is the first loser” .

Example of Authorities :

In a school or a college , you have lecturers , paper markers .

In a football game , you have the referee and the linesman.

In work , you have your boss .

In a court , you have judges

In Guitar and Music Scene , you have peers , producers , managers , clients, the other band or musician that is competing for your rice bowl .

In business , your authorities could be anyone , from the public , government , tax department , law , financial institution , shareholders etc .

And the fact is , the authorites call the shot . They will always have the final say .They have the power to Decide . They have the POWER to manipulate .

Question time ,

What if , you have the knowledge , you see the bigger picture . And you found out that the competition isn’t fair ?

The authorities are corrupted , the game is not fair .

will you compete ?

show that you are macho !

Example of Unfair Competition :

World Cup Team bribe the linesman.

Corporate Hot Chick who don’t know shit sleeps with BOSS to get YOUR PROMOTION.

Government granting contracts to companies that benefit them.

Your friend cheats in exam and got better result than you , and you didn’t cheat .

Guitar Skills : you have Cheating Jazz , Cheating Sweep picking . Let us not get into that .

Don’t get me wrong , i am not saying ALL competitions aren’t fair . Of course there are some really really fair ones , like i don’t see how a person can cheat in lets say ..Malaysian Politics . Since both side cheat , it is part of the competition , the game is fair !

So let me get the situation right

You are playing fair

Other people are not playing fair

Authorities are not playing fair .

Will you still play the game ?

Some might answer , Like that , i do the same like what everybody do , i don’t play fair . And start bribing etc …

and when i become successful and become the authority , I WILL CHANGE THE WHOLE CORRUPT SYSTEM AND MAKE IT FAIR AGAIN .

Sounds familiar ? yes , this line has been used over and over again by politicians , especially the oppositions.

Does it really exist ? quote from Immortal Technique :

So , what if the competition isn’t fair . What would you do ?
