@echobrainproject . LOL , bro .I think you are wayyy more qualified than me to speak about this subject since you've been in the scene for so long ..

But i think , both of us will agree . Marketing music is tough . It is not like some "new concept" , give out free coupons for everybody kinda thing ..And yes , appearing on TV , public speaking etc are all marketing . From the way you dress to the words you say . That is why big people always have a script :P

@yong . ya , nobody flaming lah..LOL . its all good and healthy

@vincent . Good question . in the 80s and the 90s , yes . Now ? No . really rare . The only ones that can DO IT are probably SUPER establish bands like red hot chillie pepper , Bon Jovi ....they are at the point where whatever shit they write , is good . For those new and upcoming mainstream artist , there are probably a few , but they will never sell more than other sell outs sold. At the end of the day , the question is , how do you define success as an artist ?

@vertigo . Well , it sounds really cool , but it comes with alot of hardwork and stress . wish me luck :)

@Ross . Amen . brother . Amen .

@agenthangman . hahaha..well , i never heard of it before . But what echo says is right , getting your hits to be on a radio is one thing , getting your hits request over a period of time is another thing too ..

@enterurrequiredname . i think there are many issues to it , such as marketing , the genre they are playing , the quality of their music , ORIGINALITY ..all i know is , most Malaysians don't even support their own local artist . Its a sad thing . what caused this ?
