Guitar Shops in Taiwan ! . SHRED TAIWAN !
Okay . I know you’ve been waiting for some guitar pics .
Actually , up-to-date . I have visited like 8-9 Guitar Shops here . The experience ? Fanstastic .
I learn the way Taiwanese do business , i learn about their market , i see a bigger picture in the whole music market industry . I learn the politics and relationships between Singapore guitar shops and Taiwan Guitar shops . Also , the nicest were the stories , all the screw ups our big Malaysian guitar companies made , and burn bridges with some of the biggest Taiwan / China guitar companies . hehe
So here am i , travelling from guitar shops to guitar shops , finding the best deal for Music Master .
I feel bad cause i didn’t take ALL the guitar shop’s picture . Some of it was Strictly GET-DOWN-TO-BUSINESS and i didn’t have the time . I have a whole load of pictures in my other camera too but i forgot to bring the converter (silly me) . Here are a few to share with you guys .
I ROCK .

Learn lots of things from them . What made them stand out was their CONCEPT . Like a METAL guitar shop . I wanted to do that for Music Master a long time ago , but ahhh..i was too pussy ..

absolutely love their doors .

The staircase to their music school . They design the whole school like a metal prison .

The wall of Fender Guitars . (the most un-metal)

Deans , BC RICH ..

Their prize Fender and Gibsons .

Wall of Ibanez .

Starter guitars .

…asked me to bring that in . i didn’t like it .

Me talking to them . Looks like i wasn’t very happy with the T & C ;)
Anybody like my jacket ? bought it to go along with the “taiwan” fashion . Korean pop star wannabe mou .
PLAYER

So far , the best selection . (it won’t be after tomorrow , cause i will be visiting the 2 biggest music shops in Taiwan , ATB and Galaxy)

There was this acoustic guitar brand called “Elise” that really caught my eye .

..and of course , Taiwan’s very own AYERS Guitar . Great feedbacks from Taiwanese and Singaporeans . But its not really cheap tho , goes from RM2000-RM5000 . If it could challenge “Lee” Guitars in Malaysia , i might consider .

Their “PRIZE” wall . Their electric guitar gallery was UNDERGROUND . Pretty cool .

More picsin my other cam
I realized many Taiwan Guitar Shop sells everything . Gibson , Fender , Jackson , Epiphone , PRS …Its not like in Singapore and Malaysia , this shop specialize in ESP , that shop specialize in line6. I guess their supplier-dealer scene is very efficient and successful .
More to come . This is just the tip of the iceberg . Till then ..nites !

@enterusername . when wanna yam cha . that time say wan yamcha , what happened ?
@vincent . you need to know the full story bro . let me cut it short .
the beginning , there was USA-gapnap chain . USA takes from Japan i think . Japan Yen increases , USA increase their price . gapnap not happy . starts to turn to new singapore friend . USA finds out , not happy with gapnap-singapore , but USA is ok with gapnap-china though cause it was cheap stuff . USA still piss off with gapnap . gapnap need to find new supplier to replace USA ASAP . gapnap found alternatives to USA’s products in Taiwan .
hur hur hur . got the story ?

Maybe I’m just spoiled from growing up in the U.S., but I haven’t been able to find a single acoustic in all of Taipei that doesn’t have issues with fret-buzz…
Of Course, a basic set-up would easily fix any problems it might have. I just hate the idea of purchasing something that isn’t perfectly playable to begin with. It seems to me that most of the shops in Taiwan are all about making money and don’t really know anything about the instruments they’re selling. Most of the recognizable brands also carry a hefty and unreasonable price tag.
I wouldn’t buy a guitar anywhere outside of the U.S. or Japan, but that’s just me. Nice article.
