Malaysia’s RM50 Limited Edition
Some of you guys might notice the new RM50 notes that has this logo…

So , I did a little bit of surfing..i was curious how much this piece of paper is actually worth .
My research failed . Government didn’t write anything official about it . Banks kept silent about it . All i get is from random users posting at Wikipedia and forums . Some say it is worthless , some say it is super rare and you can actually sell it for double or triple the value .
Interesting.
Anyway , if you’re an ebay surfer like me . You will notice that a pair of RM50 was sold at 180USD ..just last week .On the 4th of May .

Apparently , a Singaporean sold it to an American ..
So seriously , how much does this thing worth ?
Americans are smart , if they say it is worth 180USD . MEANS its 180USD .
Americans say this “DKNY” shirt is worth RM900 , means it is worth RM900.
Malaysians say our product is RM80 , other Malaysians say “RM80? So expensive? Can discount wan maaaa”
Therefore , a pair of RM50 limited edition , is worth 180USD . Because an American said so .
Okay , time to stock up the limited edition RM50 . America is the way to go !
…okay . I got lucky the last time i went to the ATM .
Did i hit a jackpot ?

Yo gap, USD180 for a piece of limited edition RM50? I wanna buy some from you, but so expensive, can discount ah? haha.. Luckily i kept my limited edition RM50. TIme to sell!

lol its only worth 50. unless u sell to collectors. But monetary value will still be 50 bucks. last time commonwealth games the 50 cost rm80 but could only be valued at rm 50 if u used it.

Remember a while back they printed this set of coins? in 2007 I think… Sold RM100 or smth for 1 sen, 5 sen, 10 sen, 50 sen and RM1 coin =_=’

On 21 Dec2007 50mil pieces of new RM50notes were produced with the logo of 50th independence, only 20,000 bearing serial number AA0000001 to AA0020000 were sold at RM60/piece by the bank negara. The rest… normal RM50 bill.
