What we want and What we need .
There are 2 restaurants near Music Master .

The first one is a small restaurant , average cost RM8 a meal . Great food , Air Conditioned , Clean , Great Service , Treat customers like a king (throw in lots of Freebies – soup , deserts etc)
The second one is a corner shop restaurant , average cost RM6 a meal . Average taste , Smelly , Dirty , No Air Con , Shitty service and no freebies .
Difference : RM2
During lunch hour , the second restaurant is pack as hell . People actually stand aside and wait for tables . First come first serve basis .
The first restaurant ? probably 2 or 3 tables occupied .
Isn’t it common ? Some nice , decent and clean place gets no CUSTOMERS . But shitty place by the roadside gets ALOT of Customers .

…and we like to say “I rather pay a little bit more , for better food and better service.”
We love to tell people , what we want .
But the truth behind most of our lives is , we have bills to pay , we have debts to clear , we lost money in share market , football etc…
Even RM2 is alot of money . 2 days of Rm2 is already a meal .
In this situation , what we want is not practical anymore . What we need is the second restaurant . We don’t mind being treated like shit or settling for less , just for RM2 .
Most Malaysians don’t mind settling for less . Is that a weakness , or a strength ?

i think if the price difference were to be a lil bit more than that, then it would make a stronger point. maybe 6 bucks shop has better tasting signature food recipe.

actually….it might really be that rm2 you know. it could be “wah, this restaurant got more people, should be nice la, let’s just go here”. that kind of mentality….i think herd mentality or something? most people are poor in decision making, so they just follow the herd.

Is the first picture Music Master’s Burger stall? Well, balancing between going for cheap food often but the slightly priced food occasionally is my way..

@vincent.For you ah , even more complicated . Cause you see the portion too . Really , if i am a food sales man ..i think i will lose money doing your business
@Alvin.Thats why Apple making big money . Cause everybody going for it . People attract people . I remember once , i was chilling out with my friends at a bazaar …we met my friend who set up a stall , the moment we crowd around the stall , his business suddenly shoot up kao kao…
@wilson.HAHAHA , yeah i quit my job now i am selling burgers
. What is cheap food , and what is slightly priced food to you ? my friends who are working at KLCC thinks cheap is RM10-RM15 , slightly priced is RM50 per meal ..
@eg.I hope cheap and good quality
if not i wanna work towards it
@Teko.Spoke like a true ss2 boy . One day lets go lok lok mou

@luffy . Well , actually . Just say i am on a date , i prefer me and my gal in a quiet restaurant …so that me and her can have a great conversation . Better than places that is noisy and have shitloads of people . Like a club . Bad place to bring for a first time date . What do you think ?
@vincent . Actually , from a marketers point of view . You are a value for money / price influence customer . The easiest target . Why ? because all a restaurant need to do is to lower their price , increase the portion and “tada” you are a confirm customer . easy . hehe …the hardest customers are the ones who are willing to pay & have high expectations on your service . What do you think about that now ?

hahahaha. no questions ask. agree.just lower the price i’ll come. how long can you lower the price? food not nice also no point though.
