I am in Singapore now , but i am not going for Slash concert . I am here for work .
FML.
Currently , i am at Geylang/Katong area . Funny thing about SG is , there are no MAPS for this area . I have to figure my way around myself . Government don’t want tourist to come here kut ?
Oh yeah , This area , is Singapore without the lights & tall buildings …but the food here is MUCH better than City food . Closest i can find to real Malaysian food .
So , my hotel is near the area . You know what i thought to myself today…
Everytime i come SG , it has always been work at Brash Basah , Peninsular Excelsior, Brash Basah , Peninsular Excelsior, Brash Basah , Peninsular Excelsior.…i decided to visit somewhere new ..

I bet !!!!! Most of you Malaysians Havent Been to this place before ..
One because THIS AREA is NOT in the city ,
TWO , it is not easy to get around this area …
THREE , just say you make it ALL the way here …you only visit ONE shop . Unlike Peninsular Excelsior You Visit one area you visit 10 Shops .
Okay i am here …CB , Katong Shopping Complex is like some super OLD shopping Mall …

Okay yes FML FML FML ! Back to Slash , since Slash is like EVERYWHERE . Even in SG , people are promoting his concert …BIG TIME . Lets talk a little bit about Slash…
There was a time , maybe 4-5 years ago , everybody in Malaysia hated Slash . Saying that his live playing was sloppy , He can’t play fast etc…typical shredder minded player lah..
You can find TONS of people bashing Slash on the internet . Back then , when somebody hears something less technical , or hears something that doesn’t signal skill . They instantly label it “pussy” “sloppy” “crap” etc etc etc..
Do you think the situation was among my circle only , or among the whole Malaysian Music Community ..
Now , he is coming to Malaysia and SG . Suddenly , everybody becomes a Slash Fanboy ! Hey , where are all the haters ?

i don’t dare to criticize slash with my horrible playing skills and lack of knowledge in guitar but anyways i’m goin over to the concert on thursday. fuck yea.
and yea i once met this super hot chick from china in the lift….in a hotel…..fucking hot…..parents next to me. the wonders of geylang.

Just got back from SG and watched SLASH yesterday in Fort Canning. Coheed and Cambria did the opening and bored the fans with Prog. When they say “we have 2 more” everyone was like’Boooooo’. Then SLASH came and played more than an hour. my legs sore and my neck hurts. Yes he is sloppy on stage but he is Godlike. I think his instrumental piece is not that good. But other songs where great, 3 GNR, 3 Velvet Revolr and new tracks from SLASH, the vocalist M. Kennedy kicked ass with his high pitch vocals in Starlight, a tribute to the one and only Ronnie James DIO….

Night Train, Civil War, SweetChild. oh ya got, rocket Queen & Paradise City for encore. Coheed And Cambria is a new punk/Prog band from New York. Recently on Guitar magazine covers, as said to be the new Prog. haha , no SIngaporean knew them. Kesian
