Fender , Made in China .
Yeap , those guitars that you saw just now . Are all made in China . Going for 1999 RMB , approx RM1000 .
What a power step by Fender .
It raised so many questions -
“What will happen to Squier?”
“What will happen to Fender Mexico?”
“There is too little or NO price difference between a Squier and Fender China . Whats up ? What about old distributors who stock up TONS of Squiers at their warehouse?”

From far , it is not easy to tell the difference .

What is certain for sure , upcoming Strat copies brand such as – Farida , Jack and Danny are going to be damn worried about this .
The price difference between Fender China and a Farida Strat is not much .

well, if there’s maple fretboard p-bass within same price range (around rm1k)… i’ll say “why not?”, it’s an ori fender anyway

Not sure Bentley will be able to bring it in, if he does, i think he will stop taking Squier. Maybe like Fender Japan, Fender China can only sell in China

2. cbs era. lol

well if the quality is the same as the tons of cheap quality but honest-to-god cheap priced strat copies already out there then there is no point. it’ll be like buying just for the brand. but if it is better, then i dont see why not.

now every company is worhisping china, from apple, mercedes, fender onwards, but what about integrity in making the products- in an environment where profit is god, can we trust the products? previous issues with china products:
1. melamine tainted baby milk
2. tainted dog food
3. tainted children’s crayon exported to USA
and of course the way a toddler was treated recently- people were more worried of getting sued rather than help a life…

I don’t like this. It’s like they’re selling out. They should leave the budget guitars to Squire in order to maintain the Fender quality in Fender guitars.
